Craftsmanship
My name is Michael Bridger and being a fifth generation bricklayer you might say that this trade is in my blood. My great great grandfather Herbert started it all off back in 1854 and built the house that I live in now. Having a trade was a source of pride in the nineteenth and twentieth century and that ethos lives on in my work today.
To me bricklaying or repointing using lime mortar to repair an old or listed building is just bricklaying or repointing. In fact, I enjoy working using traditional materials and re-creating a historic bond so if you ask me to give you a quotation for your listed building I won't make a drama into a very expensive crisis.
I work mainly in my local East Sussex area and this includes Hellingly, Hailsham, Polegate, Eastbourne, Brighton, Horam, Chiddingly, Laughton, East Hoathly, Waldron, Seaford, Alfriston, Chalvington, Rushlake Green, Ringmer, Glynde, Lewes, Heathfield, Uckfield, Hurstmonceux & Hastings.
My prices are very reasonable as I have few overheads. Much of my work comes from recommendation so I don't need to pay hefty commissions to trade recommendation sites. If you want references in your area let me know, I will be happy to supply them.
